Eagles of Hornby Island

Did you know Canada.. one of our fantastic readers Gingermommy turn me on to The Eagles of Hornby Island webcam.

From the website..
Our eagle cam streams live video of a pair of Bald eagles nesting in a tree on Hornby Island in British Columbia Canada.

The two cameras were installed in September of 2004. The nest is 120 feet off the ground in a Douglas fir tree.

Doug Carrick hosts the eagle cam and has been observing this pair of eagles in excess of twenty years. This was one of, if not the first eagle cam ever to be Webcast. The cam went "live" to the Internet in 2006 and since then millions of viewers have Followed Mom and Dad Hornby as they've raised their young. Through technology and the graciousness of Doug and Sheila Carrick, people from all over the world have been able to enjoy this fascinating look into the lives of these wonderful eagles. We hope that you will enjoy them as well.

My boys and I have enjoyed watching the webcam today and will continue to do so - especially the eagle babies that recently hatches a few weeks ago!!  Their forum and website if filled with fantastic Eagle Information and details about the birds we're watching - a great read.  Another fantastic thing Canada has to offer!!
