im a doner-i have always taught my children to donate,donate and encourage to become envolved but even if your not envolved in other ways you can still donate-and donate they do-they are 29,21 and 17 now and they still since children will donate and reach into their pockets,i have 3 grandchildren and the 2 oldest 7 and 4 always donate as well -ask nothing in return -you never know when you or someone you love will need a service and no matter how small a donation it will help.im so proud of them all -they are kind generous people who would lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it-they rock!

ReplyDeleteI donated some of my used but in good shape bras to the Bras across the bridge in my city. They have this campaign every year in support of breast cancer. The bras are hung on the bridge from one side to the other and each time they span the bridge, they donate $500 that's $1 per every bra (maximum of $5000) last year they crossed the bridge 7 times! The bra are then washed, then donated to our local women's shelters.

I am a Stage IV Breast Cancer Survivor, diagnosed Dec28/09. We are all numbers, ages, birthdates etc. So when you are a Cancer Stage it means your mental wellness is more key than physically well being at times. You have to show Cancer that is lives in Love, in lives in Grocery shopping,laundry, making dinner, playing with the kids, it lives with you and EVERYDAY. Thanks to everyone for supporting Breast Cancer Research and all cancer research. We will find a cure and make my nurses very happy when they are "unemployed". Love yourselves, love your families and LIVE, Cancer can be beaten however it can also beat you up. So find courage, strength and FAITH to go forward.
