Trivial Pursuit

Did you know Canada.. Trivial Pursuit, as we all probably know, is a board game in which progress is determined by a player's ability to answer general knowledge and popular culture questions. It's also the board game Time magazine called the "the biggest phenomenon in game history".

But did you know it's also a Canadian Invention?

The game was created in 1979 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, by Canadian Chris Haney (a photo editor for Montreal's The Gazette) and Scott Abbott (a sports editor for The Canadian Press). After finding pieces of their Scrabble game missing, they decided to create their own game. With help from Ed Werner (corporate lawyer) and John Haney (Chris' brother), they completed development of the game, which was released in 1982.

In December 1993, Trivial Pursuit was named to the "Games Hall of Fame" by Games magazine.

Maybe we should go pick up the Trivial Pursuit Canadian edition!!!
