Did you know Canada.. Sears has a fabulous promotion going on this month - If you buy $250 (before tax) worth of nursery must-haves (including cribs, furniture, gliders, and nursery decor/bedding) you’ll receive 15% back on a cash card!
This cash card works similarly to a gift card, so you can come back to The Baby’s Room for any last-minute additions to your nursery until May 31! For those shopping in Edmonton, you’ll receive 15% off at the point of purchase, instead of a cash card. How awesome is this??
Our new little man is here and nicely set up in his room, a few of our must haves from Sears included Carter's receiving blankets (monkey themed of course) and our sweet monkey lamp as well. A few other must haves for any nursery I think include a chair, laundry basket, some sweet baby bedding and of course your big items like a dresser, change table and crib.
That's not all that's happening at Sears this month, Sears The Baby's Room has you covered for Easter dress wear, with prices starting at just $19.97! No need to break the bank for one special day, especially if sadly any outdoor egg hunts will be in winter coats (what's going on with the weather this week??). You can still have your little ones dressed in a cute outfit for the season, snap some great photos and not be too sad when they are covered in chocolate at the end of the day. ;-)
The nesting event runs March 22 – April 4, so be sure to plan for a stop at Sears next week, and let me know some of your nursery must haves!
Disclosure: I am part of the Sears Canada The Baby’s Room Ambassador program with Mom Central Canada and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.

Family Day with Sears Canada #SearsBabysRoom
Did you know Canada.. our Toronto Representative Faniya attended a fantastic event for us last month at Sears..
In February on Family Day I was lucky to be with Sears Canada to celebrate the exciting launch of Carter’s and OshKosh brands. Buying these brands before I can say that they are fabulous new additions to Sears family of products.
I am glad that Tracy Culleton, Sears Canada VP, Kids Room, and Carter’s Inc. VP of Wholesale and eCommerce, Charlotte Taylor-Wright were with us that day to celebrate this amazing news and tell us more about these family-focused brands.
Carter’s and OshKosh colourful prints and fancy design will make you enjoy the spring and anticipate the summer as the summer collections feature jungle graphics and stylized animal prints. At school, on the beach or a playground your kid will look stylish and feel comfortable thanks to brands quality and thoughtful design details. I walked through the isles that day and I was feeling a summer breeze of these colours around me.
Since I have a boy and I buy mostly boy’s clothes and I was impressed with great prices at OshKoshon tees, jackets, shorts and other clothing.
Carter’s offers stylish clothing from newborn - 24 months for babies and young children up to size 7. OshKosh clothing range in size from newborn - 24 months for babies and children 2T-5T, from $7-$24. These clothes will be on the shelves at 79 Sears locations across Canada and online at Sears.ca.

Carters and OshKosh Launching at Sears Feb 15th! #SearsBabysRoom
Did you know Canada.. two of my favourite clothing brands for kids, Carters and OshKosh, are launching at Sears Canada and online at Sears.ca this February 15th!
My new little man fits PERFECTLY in Carters clothes, if you have had a new baby you know that the sizing on sleepers leaves wiiiiiide open room for interpretation. When I had my twins we ended up with many sleepers that never fit properly - their feet always coming out, bunching up around the neck, etc, etc.. but we have the best luck with Carters and I am SO happy they are now available at Sears!
Not just for new babes, Caters and OshKosh are also available for our big kids. My boys were over the moon to receive these footed pjs - how cool are these in size 6 and 7????? Fit absolutely perfect too, their feet stay in, easy to get on and off, the boys were sooooo happy!
To celebrate Sears Canada in running a Facebook contest to go with the launch - just "Like" Sears Canada on Facebook and you are entered to win a prize pack of Carters and OshKosh products!
If you’re in the greater Toronto area over Family Day weekend, keep your eyes peeled for some fun opportunities and activities being held on February 17th & 18th at Younge & Dundas Square! On Sunday, February 17th The Great Canadian Chill event and on Monday, February 18th the Family Day event will have fun activities, treats, children’s authors and more! Perfect for families!
We're celebrating too - enter for your chance to win a prize pack of Carters and OshKosh products!!

Create your Registry with Sears The Baby's Room - #SearsBabysRoom
Did you know Canada.. when I had my twins 5 years ago things were so shocking with the idea of twins, the constant Doctor's appointments, we had to move to a bigger place, we had just gotten married before becoming pregnant, I never ended up making a registry or having a baby shower.
With number 3 on the way I knew I really wanted to experience all that this time though. There was so much we needed because we either had items made for twins, or what we had we got rid of things that had been used to hard, or things like car seats were now expired, etc.. So my first stop was the Sears website to create my registry.
It's very simple to head to the Gift Registry section of the Sears website, select the Baby Registry, click create and follow a simple 6 step process of filling out all your info and you are on your way!
The best part of course is adding all the items to your registry, here are a few of my must haves I put on my own registry..
For more inspiration visit Sears special Tips section!
To add products to your registry from Sears.ca, you simply browse the site and click the Add to Registry link below the Add to Card button. If needed it will ask you to log in to your registry and you're good to go! You can then view your registry or continue "shopping" to add more items to your registry.
This can also be done in store by using the helpful kiosk in The Baby's Room section, fill out the form and meet with a Sears representative who will give you a scanner so you can go through The Baby's Room and scan the UPC codes of the items you wish to add to your registry.
The registry can be updated any time in store or online. I found it nice to sit at home and browse my registry and Sears.ca to change some things around, update the quantity of items. Remember you are going to likely want more than one pack of wash clothes, towels, soothers, etc..
When completing the process online I received cards in the mail a few days later to insert into the baby shower invites so friends and family knew where to find my registry online and in store.
Sears Canada’s Baby Registry also has the unique “Waiting Game” contest. It’s an amazing opportunity to win the value of everything on your registry! Just create your registry as we described above, and then correctly guess your baby’s arrival date! The date can be changed up to two times, at least 60 days prior to the “guesstimated” original date. If the baby does indeed arrive on the guessed date, the winners will be awarded coupons equivalent to the net amount of items purchased off of the registry. The most recent winner won just over $3000 to spend back in the Baby’s Room!
With Sears Baby Days happening RIGHT NOW until January 24th, it's the best time to create your registry and get shopping. You’ll find 15% off all cribs, strollers, travel systems, travel accessories, nursery furniture, high chairs, boosters, playards, bouncers and swings, and 20% off all humidifiers, monitors, carriers, gates and Halo sleepsacks! Check your local flyers for even more savings!
More good news from Sears, The Baby’s Room has been certified by PTPA (Parent Tested Parent Approved) and they are running a fun contest to celebrate! Until January 31st, shoppers can win the Spot the Seal contest by taking a picture of themselves in-store (with the seal!) and sharing the photo on Twitter or PTPA’s facebook page. When using Twitter be sure to tag @PTPA & use the #SpotTheSeal hashtag to be entered into the contest! You’ll be able to find the seal in The Baby’s Room area of Sears locations all across Canada!
There are 3 weekly $100 gift cards to be won and an amazing Grand Prize consisting of Stork Craft Carrara nursery (two cribs and a two-drawer change table!), Tfal Steamer & Blender, Angel Care Movement & Sound monitor and a Crane Animal Shaped humidifier!! A value of $929.95!
So many great reasons to visit your local Sears store this month, if you have a little one on the way create your registry, enter the Waiting Game, take advantage of Sears Baby Days Sale and enter the Spot the Seal contest!

- One thing I wouldn't add a lot of is clothes. People will often just pick whatever outfits they want for you, whether you want them or not..haha..

Shopping online with Sears #SearsBabysRoom
Did you know Canada.. being 8 months pregnant means braving the malls is no easy task! Thankfully, Sears has you covered for shopping online and they make shopping for the kids SO EASY!
First stop of any Sears holiday shop in this house is the Wish Book (now in its 60th year!) and Toy Book. The boys, as you can see, absolutely LOVED the toy book, and Mom got some great ideas on items they went gaga over that I hadn't even considered for them! Don't have a copy at home? There's an app for that! YES! Both the Sears Toy Chest and Wish Book are available as an app - the app is fully transactional, allowing customers to purchase products quickly and easily through Sears.ca!!
Another great way to find ideas for your kids to get them out of their favourite toy zone (for us it's transformers and hot wheels, but I would love to find them a few other things so we don't have repeats and can find other toys to enjoy) is to use the Sears Toy Finder online.
All you have to do is enter the gender, age and budget and you can get some fantastic ideas! This worked well for me looking at baby toys as well for our new little one, at that age some toys look pretty similar but are meant for different age ranges. I found the Toy Finder to be very helpful it showing me exactly what toys are best for the age I wanted to shop for. Perfect for Grandparents, and aunts and uncles too!!!
The results are easy to shop from!
If you know exactly what you are looking for, there are easy to view categories, and I appreciated the numbers letting you know how many items were available for each. The boys are very interested in Batman lately, so I headed over there and easily found this really cool belt full of Batman tools and it was on sale to boot!
A quick and easy shop from the comfort of my own home, I could take my time and I wasn't dying on my feet, fighting the crowds or driving through a snow storm - what more could a Mom want! Even more reasons to shop online, Sears is offering $10 off a purchase of $100 or more on regular priced toys until December 24th, use Coupon code: 941 612 203 and get FREE shipping with a purchase of more than $75 until December 20th! Your online orders MUST be placed by December 20th in order to receive them in time for Christmas, so don't delay!!
We have a great surprise for our readers as well, enter below for your chance to win one of two awesome toys, we are giving away Hasbro Game of Life zAPPed to one lucky reader and a Play-Doh Candy Cyclone to another lucky reader! Enter below for your chance to win - what great Christmas gifts!

Shopping & Family Photos at Sears! #SearsBabysRoom
Did you know Canada.. you'll remember from last month we are part of the Sears – The Baby’s Room Ambassador program. Every month I will be sharing info with you about what's happening in Sears and their updated Baby's Room section.
This month I went shopping for some Holiday Clothes. As our little one is still cookin' I went with my big boys in mind. Loving the clothing section of Sears, all the clothing is labelled by appropriate age so you can easily find what section you want to be in. I did admire all the beautiful clothes and displayed they had. For us, I didn't want to go too dressy for the boys though as I was hoping whatever I chose would be appropriate for their Holiday celebration at school and our own Christmas which is usually fairly laid-back.
I found these fantastic sweaters in the middle isle at a great price, they are exactly what I wanted and can be used for all the coming Holiday events without making the boys uncomfortable or stiff.
That was an easy shop, I also bought a couple sleepers and a really sweet blanket for our new baby, I couldn't resist. :-) At home I called the portrait studio to book Holiday Photos. I had a coupon that gave me a free session and 10 greeting cards - the very helpful woman on the phone asked some great questions, let me know it was a full photo session so we could do different poses, and when I let her know we were expecting she said we could do a couple maternity shots as well, which I thought was really nice.
The big day we got the boys in the sweaters and nice jeans, no one spilled anything on themselves, we got there a few minutes before our appointment, checked out some toys on the way of course. Everyone was super friendly and we got in right on time which was great (as you all know, waiting and patience is no talent for 5 year olds). We went with a white background at the suggestion of our friendly and bubbly photographer and I think it was a fantastic choice. The white looked great with the Holiday greeting card and I think it will look great on the wall as well, it won't feel too Christmas-y as we want it to be appropriate all year long.
The photographer did a fantastic job of getting everyone to pose, look the right way, she got some great candid and REAL smiles from my boys, don't you hate those cheesy fake smiles they turn on for the camera..lol.. we were really pleased.
After a quick wait we enjoyed looking through the photos when complete, there was lots of choices for greeting cards, I can't wait to see them, and we also got a few family shots and shots of the boys together, they will look great on the wall and Gramma might have one coming as a gift as well. :-) Not only do they have the great greeting cards but you can get phone cases, really cute tree ornaments, great things for the Holidays!
A fantastic experience and now that I know how smoothly it goes and easy it is to do, it's one we will be doing often, especially when the new baby is here and truly the ENTIRE family will be in the photo. I will update when we get the photos back, pick-up is in a couple weeks and I can't wait!
We have a fun surprise for our readers as well! Enter below for your chance to win a free photo session at your local Sears Portrait Studio and 10 free greeting cards AND a second coupon to share with family members or friends for a total of two coupons!! Good luck friends!

It's “Everything Baby” Month at Sears!! #SearsBabysRoom
Did you know Canada.. as we are expecting our new little bundle in a few months, I am so honoured to be part of the Sears – The Baby’s Room Ambassador program. Every month I will be sharing info with you about what's happening in Sears and their updated Baby's Room section.
This month I stopped by my closest Sears store in London ON and met with the very friendly staff that was so accommodating, including Rick the store's manager. I was given a tour of the new Baby's Room section, which is so thoughtfully set up, here's some of my favourite parts..
When you first walk into Sears mall entrance the baby section is right there, which I love, because the bigger I get the less I want to walk..haha.. first thing you spy is their very sweet humidifiers and gorgeous receiving blankets and crib sheet section. If you're looking for a gift, boom, it's right there! In fact, I picked up the monkey themed blankets that day as I already have the matching crib sheet, so this was a perfect find!
Next up is their gorgeous displays of baby rooms, everything from the furniture to the wall displays, they show how each theme looks out of the packaging. This is one of my favourite sections as I can get fussy about how something looks in the picture on the package vs. what it looks like in real life. I'm all about wall decals right now too, and absolutely love that they though of included them in their display, that's especially one thing that's hard to grasp how it would look in your baby's room, so I am so pleased with this set up. It's also a great way to snap a single picture and show Dad-to-be, Gramma's, sisters, etc.. what theme you are loving and they can see all the pieces in one shot. Aaaaaand, they have my monkey theme, yay!! So I was snapping pictures like crazy to send to everyone..haha
This then flows into the shopping section, where you can pick up the bedding, decorations, toys, it then leads into a awesome stroller and high chair display where everything is easily accessible. You then have feeding, communication tools and car seats along the wall. I was so impressed with the wall display they have showing each stage you need for car seats, what the weight and height rules are - these seemingly ever changing rules are always hard ones to grasp I find, and even parents with little ones seem confused about the real rules, so I loved that you could glance up and confirm what seat you need for what stage, awesome idea!
Something I was really happy with in all these sections is that they were not pushing or focusing on one brand. They had many name brands available for Mom and Dad to choose what's best for them, and I really appreciated that. As you can see, the sales were everywhere too! Not just one brand on sale, but everything! With the low shelves it was perfect to see the whole area to find what you wanted quickly, easily, and no reaching for expectant Mama's - a huge plus!
Last stop was the clothes, Sears has a fantastic and innovative way to group the clothing I thought, they have all the sizing nicely labelled at the top of every single display, and just about all the sets were group buys, like 2 sleepers for $13.97 (that is an awesome price by the way) or a 3 pack of body suits with matching pants available. Often, you're not likely to find a sale on current season wear, usually sales are on clearance type items, so I was so happy to see clothing you need today at these awesome prices, that almost never happens in other stores!!
Wow, this was a great trip and I will be back again next week as October is “Everything Baby” Month at Sears! Literally everything baby-related is on sale October 12th – 25th! Get shopping for your little ones, I know I will be!

(Do I so need this, or what..lol)
Wow, this was a great trip and I will be back again next week as October is “Everything Baby” Month at Sears! Literally everything baby-related is on sale October 12th – 25th! Get shopping for your little ones, I know I will be!
