Did you know Canada.. today, March 22nd is World Water Day! It was 1993 when the United Nations General Assembly declared 22 March as World Day for Water. For 2012 the International Committee of the Red Cross is calling attention to the water-related challenges faced by civilians caught up in fighting. "Water and Food Security: The World is Thirsty Because We are Hungry".
It's also Water Week in Canada, March 19-25. Individuals, organizations and governments across Canada are encouraged to get involved by organizing or participating in events to help raise the profile and understanding of water.

From the Canada Water Week website we find out.. the average Canadian consumes nearly 6,400 litres of water every day? Much of that water – over 90% – is embedded in the food you eat, the clothes you wear and the products you use every day.
